So this week I was craving a burger, however I didn't want to slip up and get a takeaway or dreaded Mr Donald's, full of grease and who knows what else.
Instead I made home
made burgers and they definately hit the spot! Using fresh ingredients with a couple of my own ideas thrown in it was exactly what I wanted!
Greek Inspired Burger

Burger Pattie Recipe; Note this recipe makes four burger patties.
Ingredients
600g extra lean beef mince
1/2 brown onion (diced)
3 cloves of garlic (diced/crushed)
2 eggs
1/8 cup of plain/wholemeal flour
2 teaspoons thyme
pinch of salt
Method
When all ingredients have been prepared, mix in a large mixing bowl. Quarter the mix and form a patty by moulding a ball shape and then flattening. Alternatively use a cutting ring to make a more 'perfect' shaped burger.
Seal the burgers in a lightly oiled pan then place in a pre-heated oven (200 degrees C) for around 8 to 10 minutes.
When to burger is cooked add to the already dressed bun. I used a wholemeal bread bun and added hummus, tomato chutney, feta, spinach + roquette and a few slices of dill pickle.
Have a try at your own, with your own choices of flavours. Good eating!
