Tuna Steak!

In the image above we have a pan seared tuna steak with wheatberries and black rice, naked red slaw and a ginger and garlic sauce.
The steak itself is very easy and simple to cook, pan + oil spray + steak = done! dependent on how you like your tuna depends on how long you cook it for, I prefer mine medium to rare so it took around two minutes each side to be perfect. Note cooking time will change depending on the thickness of said steak. Also when purchasing fish that may be consumed raw or partially cooked make sure you use a trusted supplier!
The wheatberries and black rice are also very simple. First wash to get rid of any extra starch, used one part wheatberry/rice mix to 2 parts water, bring to the boil and then simmer until all water has been absorbed. I added salt and corriander and lime to the water, giving flavour to something that could be very bland. Alternatively you can buy microwavable packs that have a variety of flavours.
The naked slaw is naked due to its lack of mayonnaise. Add sliced/grated red onion, beetroot and red cabbage together. Here you can add additional flavour such as ginger or in my case chilli flakes.
Finally the sauce was a cheat. This time I bought it. Linghams chilli and ginger sauce. Just a dash to heat things up!
